Strategy is at the heart of everything we do. This is where we ask ‘why’ in order to develop a plan for ‘how’. Strategy focuses on developing a plan for our clients that address exactly how we create and distribute content in order to drive an action.

 

Content strategy focuses on uncovering the purpose and objectives of content creation and aims to set in place a framework and process for achieving business goals. The way we begin content strategy is to meet with our clients and get an understanding of their business, brand, industry and audience objectives. We then uncover their audience’s typical path to purchase and we use this as a framework to develop the content journey. We set markers for success and ensure that the strategy aligns to strategic points that can be reviewed as the project progresses.

Audience Research

One of the most critical parts of developing a content strategy is to do thorough audience research. This looks at who you are targeting, their needs, wants and their behaviours.

Journey Mapping

Journey mapping helps to plan out content along your customers path to purchase - we call this the content touchpoints. It also helps to discover where the drop off points are.

Channel Audit

A channel audit looks at all current channels that the business produces content across and analyses them for effectiveness so you can identify gaps and opportunities.

Competitor Analysis

One of our favourite parts of strategy is looking at your space - diving into the industry and the competitors to see who is doing what, and why. This also allows us to identify opportunities.

Internal Interviews

Quite unique to Brandalism strategy is the process of internal interviews - we speak to key stakeholders across the business to get a full 360° view of your business.

Paid Media Audit

A paid media audit looks at the effectiveness of your content amplification, your audience targeting and which content is resonating. It allows us to identify opportunities and media gaps.

Customer Surveying

We will create surveys to send out to your customers - there’s no information that is more vital than information that comes from the horse's mouth. This part of strategy can be extremely eye-opening!

Metric&KPI setting

Finally we look at what it is that we want a strategy to achieve. This sets the guard rails for the roll out plan and delivery of an effective ongoing content marketing program.
